A man has been charged with dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking in Harrogate.
Cameron Bradley, 23, appeared before Harrogate Magistrates Court on Thursday (May 29) where he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
Mr Bradley, who gave the court an address in County Durham, was charged with driving dangerously on the A61 between Harrogate and Leeds on March 4 this year.
He was also charged with aggravated vehicle taking on the same date.
Mel Ibbotson, prosecuting, told the court that the alleged incident took place between Leeds Road in Harrogate and the Grammar School at Leeds on Harrogate Road in Leeds.
Mr Bradley made no indication of plea to either charge in court.
Martin Townend, defending, requested that the case be referred to crown court.
Mr Bradley will appear before York Crown Court on July 7 this year. He was granted unconditional bail.
