He was charged with entering a closed premises on Bramham Drive in contravention of a closure order on May 15 this year.
Mr McDonald denied the offence at Friday’s hearing.
He is alleged to have entered 89 Bramham Drive, in the Jennyfields area of Harrogate, without reasonable excuse in contravention of a three-month closure order made in respect of the property by York Magistrates Court on May 8.
The order banned anyone from living at the house during that period.
Magistrates adjourned the case for trial at Harrogate Magistrates Court on February 5, 2026.
