A man remains seriously injured following a two-car collision near Knaresborough yesterday (February 23).
North Yorkshire Police today said the crash, which occurred on the A658 at the junction with the B6163 Thistle Hill in the Calcutt area, happened at around 7.40am.
A white Toyota Aygo collided with a grey Audi Q2 at the time.
The driver of the Aygo – a man in his 60s – was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains in serious condition.
The A658 was closed for most of the day to allow an investigation to be carried out.
Police said the Audi driver is helping with enquiries, but officers are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage to assist with the investigation:
