A man has been handed a one-week prison sentence after breaching a domestic violence protection order in Ripon.
Paul Moehr, whose address is listed as unknown on court documents, breached the order made against him just weeks after it was imposed on October 22.
According to court documents, Moehr contacted a named woman at The Unicorn Hotel in Ripon on November 12.
Moehr, 52, appeared at York Magistrates Court yesterday (November 17) when he admitted the breach.
He was sentenced to seven days behind bars. The offence was considered so serious due to his “appalling record for like offending”.
