A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash near Lightwater Valley on the outskirts of Ripon yesterday (August 5).
The crash happened on the A6108 at 3.35pm.
According to North Yorkshire Police, a blue BMW X2 car, turning out of Lightwater Valley, collided with an Aprilia motorcycle heading north from Ripon.
The road was closed after the incident at 3.35pm.
Police today appealed for dashcam footage and information about a serious road traffic collision.
In a statement today, officers said:
The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to James Cook Hospital where he is described as being in a critical condition.
The car driver, a 61-year-old man was uninjured and remained on scene to assist officers.
