Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Tom Gordon has raised concerns about Knaresborough Town FC’s facilities with sports minister Stephanie Peacock.
The club has frequently postponed matches and training sessions at its Manse Lane ground due to a waterlogged pitch.
Liberal Democrat Mr Gordon met club co-chairmen Paul Howard and Nigel Corner to discuss the issue in September.
At the time, Knaresborough, who play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, had just had to cancel a fixture against Bottesford Town due to the condition of the pitch.

Recently, the club was also forced to postpone a first team match against Winterton Rangers and a reserve team fixture against Rawdon Old Boys FC due to overnight snowfall.
Mr Gordon has now raised the concerns with Ms Peacock, who committed to set up a meeting with the Football Foundation charity — which has supported grassroots clubs through the construction of 3G pitches.
Mr Gordon said it was a "constructive" meeting, adding:
Knaresborough Town AFC is a fantastic club that plays a crucial role in the local community, far beyond just the sport. During my visit a few months ago, I was very disappointed to hear how often games and training is disrupted due to the pitch being waterlogged.
I am determined for this to change so that the club can continue supporting the football and wider community. I am pleased that the minister for sport, media, civil society and youth has agreed to assist with getting the Football Foundation to visit Knaresborough Town AFC. This is a great first step towards securing the funding the club deserves.
