A new care home is set to open in Harrogate.
Sapphire Court, which will be based on Cold Bath Road, will formally open on Saturday (June 28).
The new home will be operated by Sunlight Healthcare and consists of 23 bedrooms in a building set over three floors.
Vijay Guntuka, director of Sunlight Health Care, said:
This is an important opening for us and is part of the bigger strategic development for the group.
We have taken a fairly run-down building, but in good location, and put investment into it, to make, what is now, a very comfortable residential home.
Harrogate has a growing demand for the older generation, and this will provide a good addition to the town.

The home will provide short and long-term residential care.
Mr Guntuka added that the building had been fully refurbished through “significant investment”.
He said:
It has taken some time to get the building where we need to be, but we are really pleased with how Sapphire Court is now looking.
Each room room has been fully refurbished and the communal areas are looking really good too. We aim to make each room a blank canvas so that they can be personalised by each of our residents.
The new home is based on the site of the former Mary Fisher House care home, which closed down in 2022.
Mary Fisher House was rated inadequate and put into special measures in April 2022 by the Care Quality Commission, which regulates health and social care, after rodent droppings were found in the kitchen on the premises.
The CQC said some bedrooms smelled of urine, described medicines practices as unsafe and said there were insufficient staff to safely support people.
Mr Guntuka is listed a director of Svivekcaregroup Limited, which operated the home, on Companies House.
However, a spokesperson for Sunlight Health Care, which will operate Sapphire Court, said the new company was a separate venture.
