The latest addition to Harrogate’s takeaway scene is set to open on Devonshire Place.

Pizza Pizza will open its fourth branch in the former Harrogate Grill and Pizza unit. It will sell pizzas, loaded fries, burgers, kebabs and more.

The company recently agreed a partnership with Leeds United FC and Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club in which it sells 'match day munchboxes' and even hides tickets to games in some of its takeaway boxes.

Pizza Pizza said in an email to the Stray Ferret it chose to open in Harrogate because the town was “screaming out” for a quality local takeaway. It added:

“Customers can not only have great food but also have a brand that they can always count on to be there for them.
“Pizza Pizza is not a company that is there just to sell food. We are a company who believe strongly in getting involved with the community and creating a bond with the local residents which we believe the people of Harrogate will really appreciate.”

The company already has sites in Kirkstall, Oakwood and Beeston in Leeds.

The Harrogate branch is set to open at the beginning of April.

Pizza Pizza also said local football fans will have something to look forward to:

“With our branches in Leeds, we are always getting involved with the local community whether that be by sponsoring local sports clubs, feeding the less unfortunate and even giving away hundreds of free pizzas to celebrate events.
“We have also recently sponsored both Leeds United Football Club and Leeds Rhinos rugby club which have been huge successes, so for all the Harrogate football fans, let's just say we have something for them too!”
