A new kitchen showroom has opened in a converted former stable building beside the 16th-century Scotts Arms in Sicklinghall.
It is the first showroom for Yorkshire cabinet makers Christopher Philips Handmade Interiors, which has been operating for almost 20 years.
Completed in late September, it brings together the handmade kitchens of Christopher Philips, British range cooker manufacturer ESSE and local retailer Scotts Arms Stoves in a three-way partnership.
Founders Chris Verity and Phil Dawes have operated from their Sicklinghall workshops on a made-to-order basis until now. The new space provides a dedicated venue for consultations and allows customers to view kitchen designs alongside fully operational range cookers.

Four kitchen concepts are on display, featuring traditional beaded-in-frame cabinetry with moulded doors, as well as shaker and micro shaker styles. The kitchens have been hand-painted in situ and incorporate a range of natural stone worktops, including Calacatta Gold Superior, Breccia Noir and Carrara Dream.
The displays feature ESSE electric range cookers, including the 1600 X PRO in Shadow Blue, the 1000 T in Pepper Orange and the newly introduced 1000 S, making its first public appearance. A compact 60cm model is also on show. The working appliances will be used for cooking demonstrations.
Chris Verity, co-founder of Christopher Philips, said the project demonstrated the versatility of the company's cabinetry and represented a natural next step as it approached two decades in business.
Glen van Zeller, owner of Scotts Arms Stoves, said the partnership would allow customers to explore a complete kitchen design through three specialist businesses in one location.

Robert Ashby, director of ESSE Engineering, said the addition of handmade kitchens extended the company's existing relationship with Scotts Arms Stoves, enabling visitors to see how its cookers could be incorporated into a finished room.
The showroom was officially launched on Tuesday (October 20), at an invitation-only reception featuring chef Liz Cottam of Bolton Abbey fine dining restaurant Byre demonstrating dishes prepared using ESSE electric range cookers and the wood-fired Ironheart.
The showroom is open by appointment.
