An Indian restaurant in Leeds has revealed plans to open a venue in Harrogate.

Jodhpur, has applied for a premises licence to serve alcohol in the unit on Station Parade that was formerly occupied by Nutrition Joe’s, also known as NJ’s.

NJ’s was an urban-style healthy eating café which opened in 2016 and entered liquidation in October.

Jodhpur has applied to North Yorkshire Council for permission to sell alcohol between the hours of 1pm - 10.30pm and play recorded music until 11pm, seven days a week.

The company’s Leeds restaurant on Kirkstall Road opened in 2023 and its menu centres on traditional dishes from the Rajasthan city of Jodhpur.

According to its website, the restaurant is led by chefs and brothers Satendar Singh and Jatinder Singh.

The company posted an announcement on its social media which said:

We’re thrilled to announce that Jodhpur is opening a new branch soon! Get ready for more of your favourite flavours even closer to you.

Your passion for our authentic flavours and vibrant atmosphere has fuelled us, and we couldn’t be more excited to expand and share even more of our culinary journey with you. This new location is our way of saying thank you for every visit, every shared meal, and every bit of love you’ve shown us.

The Stray Ferret contacted Jodhpur for more information but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
