Nidderdale's first dedicated lavender farm has announced the launch of its first product range, just months after opening.
Founders Melanie and Chris Baxter planted 5,000 English and French lavender plants on a hillside overlooking Pateley Bridge.
Over the summer, the couple harvested their first lavender crop and distilled the plants into essential oil.
Today (October 26) they said their company — Nidderdale Lavender — had launched its first signature product range, which includes items such as room spray, pillow mist and scents.
Ms Baxter, who grew up in Nidderdale, said:
For us, this is the moment the vision starts to become real. When we announced the lavender field earlier this year, the products were still just an idea. To now hold a collection that contains lavender we have grown ourselves, harvested ourselves and distilled ourselves is incredibly rewarding.
The business will showcase its story and first season products at Harewood Christmas Market on November 6 to 8 and at Fountains Abbey Christmas Market on November 28 and 29.
The products are also being sold on the company’s website.
