Many people in Harrogate will have noticed their phones have been slower than usual.
Those with O2 as their network provider have found they cannot access mobile data, iMessage or even make calls.
This is the result of an outage with the O2 network in the district.
The company's service status map currently says normal service should resume by 8pm tonight (June 7).
The status says:
We’re carrying out some upgrade work to help improve our network. While we do this, you might have some trouble with your calls, texts and data but we're working as fast as we can to get things sorted.
The Stray Ferret contacted O2 to ask for further details.
An O2 spokesperson said:
We are carrying out planned upgrades on a mast in Harrogate to ensure we continue to provide fast and reliable connectivity to our customers in the area. This may have caused some short-term disruption, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The company provided no further details.
