The Harrogate district, which the Stray Ferret covers, may seem small but it is actually comprised of 505 square miles.
From Weeton to Whixley, or Masham to Menwith Hill, there is so much to see and do. But how well do you know it?
For some festive fun, we have produced this picture quiz featuring local landmarks to see how many you can identify.
The answers are available here.

2 One of Harrogate's famous hotels.
3 This is one of the most historic sites in all of North Yorkshire.
4 This 17th century bridge, tucked in away in a quiet corner of Harrogate, was originally built to carry packhorse traffic.

6 These gates are a familiar sight to visitors of one of the district's most popular beauty spots.
7 Artist Emma Garness painted this mural in 2021 on a bridge that was frequently defaced by graffiti.

9 Perhaps the most famous view in the entire district.
10 The number one reason to visit Grewelthorpe.
11 One of Masham's famous breweries.
12 A 400-year-old stately home near Knaresborough, now owned by Mark and Clare Oglesby. Rik Mayall shot some scenes for the comedy series The New Statesman here.
