A plan has been submitted to convert a former Knaresborough charity shop into flats.
Applicant James McMillan has tabled the proposal to North Yorkshire Council for the Scope shop on High Street in the town.
Scope closed down in November 2023 after 35 years in Knaresborough after it said it was “no longer viable to trade”.
The plans would see the three floors of the premises converted into flats.
According to documents submitted to the council, three two-bedroom flats would be created at the site.
Planning documents also suggest that the scheme would be for “social, affordable or intermediate rent” properties.
The deadline for the public to comment on the plans is today (May 12).
North Yorkshire Council will make a decision on the proposal at a later date.
