Council officials have approved plans for a former Harrogate restaurant to be converted into a Bupa health centre.
Bupa Occupational Health Limited, which is based in London, submitted a plan to convert the former Estabulo Rodizio Bar and Grill on Albert Street.
Now, North Yorkshire Council has given the go-ahead for the scheme.
The proposal will see the former restaurant changed to a wellbeing centre, which would deliver mental health services.
It is expected to include 16 staff, including clinical psychologists, cognitive behavioural therapists and counsellors.
According to planning documents, the centre would be open from 8am until 10pm and offer 2,200 appointments per year.
The Stray Ferret has approached Bupa for comment.
Estabulo Rodizio Bar and Grill, which was a South American-themed restaurant, closed last year.
