Plan to demolish former Pateley Bridge garage to build five new homes
A developer has submitted plans to demolish a former garage in Pateley Bridge to make way for five new homes.
Chartwell Barns Ltd has tabled plans to North Yorkshire Council to demolish the former Nidderdale Motors garage on Bridgehouse Gate.
The proposal would see five new homes built in its place.
According to planning documents, the developer has proposed to build three four-bedroom and two three-bedroom houses on the site.
The plan would include parking bays for each house.
North Yorkshire Council will make a decision on the plan at a later date.

The latest plan comes as previous proposals to build new homes on the site have been refused.
In May 2023, the former Harrogate Borough Council rejected plans to build 15 new flats on the former garage site.
In a decision notice, the council said the scheme would result in the loss of employment space and that the developer had failed to prove that the site had been marketed for employment use.
Meanwhile, Chartwell Barns Ltd withdrew proposals to build 14 flats on the site in July last year.
