Plans to build 130 homes and a health centre in Killinghall have been revealed.

Sheffield-based Hallam Land is to hold a ‘community consultation’ event about the proposed development on 6.82 hectares to the south of the village.

It comes a month after Miller Homes unveiled plans for 75 homes on Picking Croft Lane, on the south-west edge of Killinghall.

Killinghall Parish Council shared a post about the latest ‘mixed-use’ development, which would include school parking as well as the homes and health centre.

The site, at the junction of Otley Road and Grainbeck Lane, is close to Killinghall Primary School.

Hallam Land, which develops planning applications on behalf of landowners and then sells the sites to housebuilders, said in its post:

The site is located in a highly sustainable location and relates well to existing built development, as well as key services, facilities and public transport links.

Vehicular access to the site will be gained off Otley Road with a walking and cycling link to the north-west corner to facilitate easy access to Killinghall.

Killinghall has been without a GP practice since the site run by Moss Healthcare Harrogate on Ripon Road closed in October last year.

The consultation event will be held at Killinghall Village Hll on July 9 from 4.30pm to 8pm.

Hallam Land's post said: “Following the consultation, the development team will review and consider all coments received prior to the submission of a formal application to North Yorkshire Council.”
