An 11-year-old girl has been injured in a collision in Harrogate.

North Yorkshire Police today said the girl was hit by a Ford Transit-style van on Cold Bath Road on December 9.

Officers are now trying to trace the driver, who did not stop at the scene.

The incident occurred between 4.20pm and 4.50pm, police said, although police did not reveal whereabouts on Cold Bath Road it happened.

The girl sustained minor injuries, including bruising to her leg.

The force launched an investigation at the time but has not been able to identify the driver.

Today’s statement said:

We have been unable to identify the driver during our investigation and are now appealing for them, or anyone with information, to come forward.
