    Police appeal after third violent outbreak in Knaresborough

    Police have issued another appeal for witnesses after it revealed a third violent incident took place in Knaresborough last weekend.

    A woman was hit in the face and a police officer was assaulted on Saturday night, as reported yesterday by the Stray Ferret.

    Today North Yorkshire Police issued another appeal after a door to a property on Chestnut Drive was kicked in at about 9pm on Friday night.

    The force said in a statement it involved "a group of young people" and caused "considerable damage", adding:

    "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information regarding any neighbouring properties that have CCTV which could help in identifying those involved."
