Police have launched an investigation in Boroughbridge after teenagers fired a gel blaster gun at vehicles and people on the High Street.
North Yorkshire Police has appealed for information on the incident, which happened on Sunday (December 14) between 1.30pm and 3.40pm.
The force said teenagers wearing black clothing used a gel gun to fire at vehicles and people on the High Street, at Horsefair, and at the river parking/salmon ladders. Police believe it may have also happened elsewhere in the town.
A police statement added:
The youths in question were stopped, searched, and the gel blaster gun seized while our enquiries continue.
