Police are seeking information after what officers called a hit-and-run collision in Knaresborough.
North Yorkshire Police this morning (May 22) said the "hit-and-run collision" happened on the High Street, opposite Knaresborough House, at around 12.30pm yesterday.
It involved a cyclist and a maroon Ford, which is suspected to be a Fiesta or a Focus, police said.
The statement added:
Both the cyclist, a man aged in his 60s, and the vehicle were believed to be travelling up the High Street towards the town centre when the vehicle collided with the cyclist and knocked him off his bike.
Ambulance workers were called and treated the cyclist, whose injuries are “not serious”.
Police also said the road was partially closed for an hour as officers investigated the scene and the cyclist was treated.
Officers are now seeking any information that could assist their investigation:
We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.
