Cash and cocaine were seized during a police stop and search operation on New Year's Eve.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today officers spotted a car travelling from near Ripon to Harrogate at 1.40pm.
Officers traced the vehicle to the Bower Street area of Harrogate, where they stopped and searched the two occupants.
The statement said police found £1,000 of cash as well as bags containing what they suspect was cocaine.
Two men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of possession class A drugs with intent to supply.
Today’s statement added:
In addition to being suspected of drug supply, the driver, 27, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property (the money), drug driving, driving without insurance and a licence offence.
Both were questioned before being released while under investigation to allow further enquiries to be carried out.
