Police officers are still guarding the scene of a recent fire, which happened in Harrogate 12 days ago.
Five fire crews and the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate attended the blaze, which North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said occurred at a tyre factory off Skipton Road.
Black smoke billowed over the Skipton Road area and traffic was diverted at evening rush hour on Friday, January 26.
Although the fire was quickly brought under control, police have been guarding the burned-out building ever since.
A resident sent us a photo of the smoke at the time.
Police continue to guard the site.
North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service issued a joint appeal for witnesses following the incident.
The Stray Ferret contacted the force to ask for an update on the investigation, including whether investigations had bee made and why officers remained on guard at the site.
A police spokesperson said:
No further details, including the cause of the fire, have since been revealed.
