Police have issued a warning after a spate of burglaries in Ripon.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police said on its community messaging board that overnight on July 14 and 15, two properties were entered on Aislabie Garth in the city.
A police statement added:
Any information you may have regarding this please get in touch with North Yorkshire police reference 12250130776 and 12250130770.
The force said three other burglaries were reported in the city the night before.
Officers said:
This is obviously very concerning following three burglaries in the Ripon the night before and it appears our suspects are walking around the city trying to open anything from cars to shed and even houses and looking for anything open/ insecure. Please ensure that your vehicles and property are fully secure.
