On Tuesday, I took a walk in Valley Gardens in the beautiful sunshine. In general, there wasn’t too much litter.
But I walked back through the Sun Colonnade and it looked so different. Neglected — totally it seems. Dirty, litter — including a very large broken plastic box spread over the footway. Badly damaged wood covering on the wall. Notices scribbled over. Gaps in the roof.
What do visitors think? I suppose they pass by and think 'what a shame' and then walk away.
Couldn’t the council or whoever maintains it check after each weekend? There are small mechanical sweepers that might be used or alternatively someone with a brush and barrow. Couldn’t a few repairs be done? I guess one lives in hope.
