Readers’ Letters is a free weekly column giving you the chance to have your say on issues affecting the Harrogate district. It is an opinion column and does not reflect the views of the Stray Ferret. Send your views to letters@thestrayferret.co.uk.
Few topics raise our readers’ blood pressure more than the state of Harrogate roads. This letter is no exception.
I thought I’d share this photo for the benefit of councillor Keane Duncan, amid his very loud ignorance regarding the Harrogate Station Gateway scheme.
This man is not reading the public mood. This picture (below) is the state of a road that has previously had investment - just a stone’s throw away from an area Cllr Duncan is intent on destroying.
Mr Duncan should hang his head in shame at the state of the roads currently. Perhaps he should concentrate on what needs addressing right now, rather than his own agenda.
It’s clear from photos and recent retorts that we are a long way from what Cllr Duncan has portrayed.
You don’t even live in Harrogate, Keane, but these potholes have occurred on your watch.
