Flashback to last year's commemoration event at the Royal British Legion Garden of Remembrance
The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading armed forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.
The Ripon branch meets at the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) Club in Kirkgate, on the first Friday of every month at 7.30pm.
Membership is open to everyone interested in the objectives of the legion and wanting to help and support those who have served their country.
The branch welcomes men and women of all ages, whether they have served in the armed forces or not and also encourages youth membership, which is free between the ages of 13 - 17 years.
Legion membership ensures that remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices of brave service men and women are never forgotten.
