Ripon entrepreneur to appear on Dragon’s Den

James Martin, the founder and managing director of outdoor leisure brand Glawning, is to appear on Dragons’ Den next week.

During the episode, Mr Martin will present Glawning’s luxury tents and campervan awnings to Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Steven Bartlett and Jenna Meek.

He will also share the story behind the company, which operates from Ripon and is reistered in Killinghall, within the outdoor and camping community.

Speaking ahead of the broadcast, Mr Martin said:

“What an intense and unforgettable experience, and a great opportunity to showcase our business to viewers. I’m looking forward to reliving it from the comfort of my own sofa!”

Glawning was established in 2013 to create innovative outdoor leisure and camping products.

Mr Martin and his wife Sarah have built a community of campers and outdoor enthusiasts through a variety of products, events

and collaborations.

Viewers can tune in on BBC One on Thursday, February 26 at 8pm. The episode will also be available on and BBC iPlayer.
