BUD's North Street site.

A Ripon florist is relocating to a bigger site – just minutes away from its current premises.

Bud Floral Designs has operated out of its current North Street unit for just over two years.

But, taking to social media to announce the news, Bud said it has “[fingers crossed emoji] found its forever home" on Allhallowgate.

The post said:

We have loved being part of North Street’s shopping scene, but a new, bigger shop is now a must.

We’re not going far, though! 79 Allhallowgate, on the edge of Temple Gardens, will be our new space from the beginning of May.

Owner Emma Crossley said she is “full of ideas for this next step”, and today (April 17) told the Stray Ferret the new site will "still be a high street flower shop" but with an "improved shopping experience".

Ms Crossley also said she hopes to introduce flower arranging workshops at the Allhallowgate shop, including for children during the school holidays, as well as "DIY wedding workshops".

Tea and coffee will also soon be served at the new shop.

The North Street premises will close on April 24, the post says, adding:

We have made this decision as we are also starting a busy wedding season.

You will still be able to order flowers via the website or over the phone during this time. Most importantly for me is that the weddings, events and funerals we have booked during this time are unaffected by the move, and we actually get to enjoy the process of moving and designing the new space.

Ms Crossley also told the Stray Ferret she wants the new Bud premises "to be somewhere people want to come and look around, like a little haven".

Bud offers a range of floral designs, including seasonal bouquets, wedding flowers, gift flowers and arrangements for special occasions.

In addition, it sells various door wreaths and holds Christmas wreath-making workshops.
