Members of the 50-strong team at Wetherspoon's Unicorn Hotel in Ripon are becoming increasingly concerned after their colleague, Karl Cook, did not arrrive at work on Friday and has not been in touch since.
Mr Cook was due to start a shift at 10am, but did not turn up and colleagues were worried when they could not reach him on his mobile phone.
At 12.30pm on Friday Amanda Todd, who is a team leader at the city centre pub, called North Yorkshire Police on 101 and Wetherspoon's managers subsequently provided further information to an officer who visited the Unicorn this morning.
Ms Todd told the Stray Ferret:
Karl is extremely reliable and always punctual and normally arrives half an hour before his shifts start, so we became worried when we hadn't heard from him and there was no response to calls made to his phone.
Amanda Todd
Karl is a hardworking and popular member of our team and we just want him to contact us to let us know that he is OK.
Wetherspoon staff have put messages on social media and contacted other Wetherspoon pubs across Yorkshire in the hope that he is found safe and well.
The Unicorn can be contacted on 01765 643 410.
