The Stray Ferret spent the morning at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Friday (July 11).
We sat through a full morning of hearings, which included cases of drug possession and assault.
You can find reports on four cases below.
Nichola Parkinson, of Lead Lane in Ripon, denied one count of assault.
Ms Parkinson is accused of assaulting a named woman by beating her at Harrogate Baptist Church on Victoria Avenue.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on June 12.
The case was transferred to York Magistrates Court, where the 43-year-old defendant will next appear on August 8.
Joe Windle, of Ure Bank Terrace in Ripon, denied three drug-related offences.
Mr Windle is charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (MDMA) and possession with intent to supply ketamine.
Cocaine and MDMA are both class A drugs, while ketamine is a class B drug.
All of the alleged offences took place on the B6265 Boroughbridge Road in Ripon on October 30, 2023.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Windle, 26, will next appear on August 18.
Anthony Fenton, of High Street in Starbeck, appeared in court charged with two assault offences.
Mr Fenton, 62, pleaded not guilty to one count of assault by beating and one count of assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty.
The defendant is alleged to have assaulted a named man in Harrogate on December 7 last year.
On the same day, Mr Fenton allegedly assaulted a named constable at Harrogate Bus Station.
A trial was set for November 13, when Mr Fenton will return to Harrogate Magistrates Court.
Mitul Hirani, of Whitby Road in Ruislip, pleaded not guilty to one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Mr Hirani, 36, allegedly failed to provide a specimen of blood when required at Harrogate Police Station.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on June 9.
The case was adjourned for trial, which will be held at Harrogate Magistrates Court on November 6.
