Work has begun on refurbishing premises for a national pizza chain's arrival in Harrogate.
Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana, commonly known as Rudy’s, will open in the site previously occupied by Banyan Bar and Kitchen on John Street.
Banyan closed on January 3, as we reported here. It had been part of John Street for 20 years.
The Stray Ferret reported in December that Rudy’s was heading to Harrogate.
The location was not confirmed at the time, but the advertising boards erected on John Street today confirmed it will be the former Banyan site.

The Stray Ferret understands Rudy's is expected to open in about six weeks.
Rudy’s launched in Manchester and now has 37 sites across the UK, not including Harrogate.
We have contacted the company for more information.
