Rudy's to give away 3,000 pizzas to mark Harrogate opening
Local foodies could enjoy a free pizza as a new restaurant prepareas to open in Harrogate.
The Stray Ferret last year revealed Rudy’s Pizza, a nationwide Neapolitan pizza chain, will take over the former Banyan unit on John Street.
The 2,800-sqft restaurant will cater to 120 covers inside and 35 outside.
The company today (February 17) confirmed the Harrogate branch will open in April – although a specific date has not yet been released – and customers can be in with a chance of claiming one of 3,000 free pizzas to mark the new opening.
Rudy’s Pizza’s Neal Bates said:
From speculation in the press to excited comments across social media, the Harrogate community’s enthusiasm to welcome Rudy’s to the neighbourhood has been fantastic. We’re pleased to now be able to confirm our opening as we prepare to welcome current Rudy’s lovers and soon-to-be fans to our new pizzeria.
Harrogate is renowned for its brilliant food and drink scene, vibrant visitors and unique culture, spanning everything from music to crime writing festivals, which Rudy's is very excited to be part of.
With 3,000 pizzas available to claim on us, we’re delighted to open with a bang and be offering a true authentic Neapolitan experience right here in Harrogate.
The restaurant will open on John Street.
The restaurant, affectionately known as Rudy’s, is part of hospitality group Mission Mars.
The parent company is set to hold recruitment days ahead of the local opening, with 20 roles available.
The Harrogate restaurant is the latest addition to the Rudy’s portfolio, which began in Manchester in 2015 and has since expanded to more than 35 sites nationwide.
The Stray Ferret will provide further updates on the opening when they become available.
