This week, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch paid a surprise visit to Harrogate's Cold Bath Road, we heard that Ripon is to bid to become the "most Yorkshire place in Yorkshire" on this year's Yorkshire Day, and film crews descended on Ripley to make a new series of All Creatures Great and Small.
