This week, Ripon Grammar School was closed due to a gas leak, former England football manager Sir Gareth Southgate took part in a Harrogate padel fundraiser, and it ws announced that Knaresborough would get its second ever Green mayor.

1. Ripon councillor Andrew Williams clashed with David Skaith, the mayor of York and North Yorkshire, over claims that highways funding to North Yorkshire is set to be cut.
