This week, Ripon Grammar School was closed due to a gas leak, former England football manager Sir Gareth Southgate took part in a Harrogate padel fundraiser, and it ws announced that Knaresborough would get its second ever Green mayor.

4. Contractors for Yorkshire Water have started cutting down trees in Sandy Bank Wood in Pannal, just south of Harrogate, in preparation for the construction of a temporary road.
