This week, Tesco finally opened its supermarket in Ripon, an ex-schoolteacher was accused of stalking a former colleague, and Harrogate Spring Water submitted plans for a new borehole in Killinghall.

1. North Yorkshire councillors voted to press ahead with the Harrogate Gateway scheme, but Conservative Cllr Simon Myers criticised people campaigning against it. What did he call them?
