Senior North Yorkshire Council officers’ salaries revealed

The salaries of senior officers at North Yorkshire Council for the last financial year have been revealed.

The figures for Richard Flinton, chief executive, and 10 other directors at the local authority were disclosed as part of its statement of accounts for 2024/25

According to the accounts, Mr Flinton was the highest paid senior officer. Five other corporate directors were paid the same salary of £159,178.

The salaries mark a change from the 2023/24 financial year as some officers. such as Gary Fielding and Karl Battersby, saw a pay cut.

Sir Stuart Carlton left in October this year. Richard Webb will become chief executive of City of York Council in April 2026.
