Katie O’Brien’s Irish Tavern was due to open its doors to the public at 5pm tonight (December 6).
It will become Harrogate’s second Irish bar after The Four Leaf, opened on John Street in March this year.
The new tavern is located in the former Manahatta unit on The Ginnel. The previous cocktail bar closed in July and the Irish bar revealed its plans for the site a month later.
Katie O’Brien’s also has pubs in Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Leicester, Newcastle and Durham.
Opening night promises to include an abundance of Guinness, as well as live sport screenings and live music.
Operations director Shaun Jenkinson told the Stray Ferret that the company is yet to begin work on the upper level of the unit and the refurbishment has cost around £250,000 so far.
