Soprano Charlotte Potter will literally be wearing her poppies with pride when she sings at the Ripon Remembrance Concert on November 6.

Members of Ripon Community Poppy Project's Knit and Natter group, have made more than 1,500 hand-crafted poppies to create a stunning dress with 12-foot train.

Former Ripon mayor Stuart Martin, who co-founded the poppy project with Hazel Barker, told the Stray Ferret:

The special poppy dress is being created for Charlotte to wear when she sings at the concert and before then, the dress with its 12-foot long train, will be on display in the Specsavers window on Market Place West from October 15.
