Nadiya Bychkova will bring a taste of Strictly Come Dancing to Harrogate next month as part of her national tour.

The Ukrainian dancer, who joined the BBC One show in 2017, is a two-time world champion and European champion in ballroom and Latin.

She shot to fame after joining Strictly and has since been partnered with footballer David James, musician Matt Goss and broadcaster Dan Walker.

Most recently, Nadiya took to the famous Strictly ballroom with Olympic gold medallist Tom Dean but the couple were eliminated first.

The 35-year-old will swap Elstree Studios for Harrogate's Crowne Plaza when she brings her show, A Special Evening with Nadiya Bychkova, to the town on Thursday, February 27.

She will be joined by host and British ballroom champion, Jamie Cutler, as she gives an insight into her dancing career and lifts the lid on behind-the-scenes gossip.

As well as a question-and-answer session, Nadiya will also perform a number of dance routines during the night.

Nadiya, who first stepped on the dancefloor aged five, said the show will be “up close and personal”.

She added:

It’s a chance for people to meet me and hear my stories.

I will talk about my upbringing, my early years competing across the world, travelling with my mum, the heartbreaks and highs of becoming a professional dancer, and finally landing my dream job of being a professional dancer on the world’s favourite TV show.

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

Nadiya made three promises to those going to the show:

Number one: you will have an incredible night.

Number two: I will tell you some secrets. You’ll also get the chance to ask me anything you like. I’m not promising to answer everything, but we will have some fun together.

Number three: there will be some amazing dancing.
