Summer solstice over the Stray

Reader Syd Bell took this glorious photo of the Stray in Harrogate at sunrise on today's summer solstice.
Syd rose at 4am to capture the midsummer moment.
Today is the longest day of the year, and the sun is in its highest position in the sky.
The sun rose at 4.33am and will set at 9.42pm.
Syd said:
I set my alarm for 4am to be in position on the Stray in time to catch it.
Maybe now the weather will get the hint and start to act like it’s summer!
