Reader Syd Bell captured this fabulous image of the summer solstice over the Stray in Harrogate this morning.
Today is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere.
The sun rose at 4.34am and will set at 9.42pm.
Mr Bell, who lives on West Park, was up early to photograph the moment on his iPhone 14.
He said:
I set my alarm and was out by 3.30am to be on the Stray before sunrise. This particular photo was 4:52am, once the sun had cleared the trees and the cloud had lifted.
The aspect is from near Stray Rein looking towards the east.
We welcome reader's photos. We publish a weekly Photo of the Week every Sunday and occasionally feature other outstanding shots. Please send yours to contact@thestrayferret.co.uk
