Here are the answers to this week's Sunday Picture Quiz. How well did you do?

pateleybridgecemetery

1. Pateley Bridge Cemetery. (Photo credit: Bill Boaden).  This beautiful cemetery was opened in 1874 and is a good example of a Victorian municipal burial ground. By the early 2020s, the cemetery was nearing capacity and expansion is set to go ahead. The extension will provide space for over 300 additional burial plots, 48 natural burial plots,

2. Grantley Hall. (Photo credit: Jack Hardy). Grantley Hall near Ripon is currently the subject of a fabulous TV documentary on Channel 5. Catch up with all the swank and pomp of Yorkshire's Poshest Hotel here.

3. The Harrogate Club on Victoria Avenue. Established in 1857,  past members include Sir Titus Salt, the Bradford industrialist who built Saltaire, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and past guests have included Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Last month it celebrated its 140th Anniversary.

4. Knaresborough's Waterside public toilets. Knaresborough's Waterside area became a major visitor attraction in the late 19th Century and remains so today. Public toilets in North Yorkshire are currently the subject of some debate - with proposals to charge people to relieve themselves.  Safe to say this is not a popular proposal!
