Sunday Picture Quiz Answers: June 14
Here are the answers to this week's Sunday Picture Quiz. How well did you do?
1. Mural, Knaresborough
This mural, called Look Out Below!, was painted by artist Shirley Vine, and commemorates the English Civil War, when Knaresborough Castle was besieged. The Royalists who held it eventually surrendered and the castle was dismantled four years later, in 1648.
This is one of many trompe l'oeil murals in windows around Knaresborough that celebrate characters and events from the town's history. The project was devised by Renaissance Knaresborough and the murals were painted by various artists.
2. Owl bench in Addyman's Wood, Starbeck
This lovely bench,with a carved owl at each end, is one of two in Addyman's Wood, which is part of Belmont Park recreation ground, just off Starbeck's High Street. The other bench features a carved wooden squirrel at one end and was funded in 2013 by Starbeck Veterans' Club.

Addyman's Wood takes its name from a prominent local family who lived at Belmont House, which gives its name to the park.
3. Millennium Seat, Great Ouseburn
This structure on the village green was one of many across the country raised to mark the new millennium in 2000.
The quotation carved into the stonework running around it reads "I have more care to stay than will to go", and is from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
At its centre is a large boulder that features in old photographs of the green and probably lay on this spot for centuries.
4. Crimple Viaduct, Harrogate
Most often seen from afar, or from the train, Crimple viaduct is impressive from any angle, but it looks particularly imposing when you're standing at its base.
The grade II* listed structure was built from brick and gritstone for the York and North Midland Railway, and completed in 1848.
It has 31 arches which rise to a maximum height of 34 metres (110 feet) above the Crimple Valley, and, as if the feat of engineering were not impressive enough, it is also built on a rising gradient of 1-in-91 – in other words, it rises by one foot in every 91 feet of distance. Incredible precision in a pre-digital age!
