Two former contestants from The Traitors are set feature in a new television series filmed at a Harrogate charity shop.
Aubrey and Sonja, who featured in series two of the hit BBC One programme, took part in the latest episode of Shift the Thrift, which features the Martin House Children’s Hospice store on Commercial Street.
The show is presented by Gavin and Stacey star, Joanna Page, and follows Sonja and Aubrey as they are given £100 to spend in charity shops, and just one hour to do so.
With the help of expert thrifters, Mirain Iwerydd James and Jen Graham, they then compete to turn these purchases into the highest profit, with all proceeds donated to their chosen charity.
Stephanie Rimmington, head of retail at Martin House, said:
We really enjoyed hosting the celebrities during their Harrogate challenge and can’t wait to see our shop on national television! It’s fantastic to see a programme like this shining a light on charity shops in the region, and the unique finds people can discover.
We pride ourselves on stocking high-quality items at great value, so you’ll have to tune in to see what caught their eye.
Martin House cares for more than 500 children and young people with serious and complex health needs. Its services are available to families free of charge, 24/7, 365 days a year.
The episode of Shift the Thrift will be broadcast on BBC One today at 2pm.
