A third cyclist has been injured locally in a crash with a vehicle in the space of less than a month.
The Stray Ferret was contacted by concerned readers at the weekend after they witnessed what appeared to be a serious incident at the junction of York Place and Oatlands Drive, in Harrogate, on Saturday.
York Place was closed to traffic as paramedics treated the cyclist on the ground at the scene.
We contacted North Yorkshire Police for further information but it said it didn't respond to enquiries about collisions unless there was a "policing purpose".
It was the latest in a recent spate of collisions between cyclists and vehicles in the Harrogate district.
A female cyclist sustained minor injuries in a collision near Asda in Harrogate on Friday, December 15, at the junction of Bower Road and Haywra Street.
Three days later another cyclist sustained minor injuries on Harrogate Road near Mother Shipton’s in Knaresborough. Police issued an appeal for witnesses when the motorist failed to stop.
