Part of a tree fell on a busy Ripon roundabout this afternoon.
The tree was partially on the road at the roundabout, where Bondgate Green meets Bedern Bank, but traffic was flowing.
The roundabout, near Ripon Cathedral, is on a main route in and out of Ripon.
An eyewitness said the tree had splintered part way up its trunk and several branches have come down.
The Stray Ferret understands that North Yorkshire Council’s highways team has been informed.
