Two men have been charged after police located suspected illegal drugs in a Knaresborough property.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today (November 27) that officers attended an address in the town for an unrelated matter.
The statement added:
But while they were there, they recognised a man inside as being linked to an incident where a stolen bank card had been used to purchase items.
The 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud. A search by officers then uncovered a number of tablets, and as a result he was further arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class C drugs; another man, aged 47, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.
They were both later charged, and are due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court next month.
