North Yorkshire Police has issued an urgent appeal for help finding Peter Jacques, who is missing from the Great Ouseburn area.
In a statement today, the force said Peter, 70, left home at 2pm today (November 21) and has not been seen since.
He is described as about six feet tall with a slim build and grey hair. He was last seen wearing all black clothing, black trousers, a black jumper and walking boots.
The statement added:

As time goes on, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Peter’s welfare. Extensive resource is currently being used to assist with the searches in Great Ouseburn and the surrounding villages. This includes the use of the police helicopter, police drones and specialist police search officers.
If you have seen a man matching the photograph of Peter or know where he is, please contact the police without delay.
