Weetons has won the 2025 Harrogate Christmas Shop Window Competition.

The food hall on West Park was named overall winner for its Grinch display at an awards evening at The Yorkshire Hotel yesterday (December 10).

The contest attracted a record entry of more than 40 businesses, which showed off their creative skills whilst adding to the festive feel of the town

Starling’s hand drawn festive display won the pubs and restaurants category; hair salon Nyne Harrogate’s scrunchy design won the services category and White Hart Hotel and Apartments’ impressive lighting of the building took the hotels category.

Discretionary awards were given to Ruffords and Smiths of Harrogate for best new entry. The new best independent and best large company awards went respectively to 27 West Park Antiques and joint winners Bettys and Pandora.

Bethany Allen, operations manager at Harrogate Harrogate Business Improvement District, which led on organising the competition, said:

“It is really great to see this competition growing each year, beating the number of entries from previous years. It shows how much the businesses love to get involved.”

“Without a doubt, the shop window displays complete Harrogate’s festive offer and truly adds to the festive feel of the town.”
